7th Grade Reading Class Guidelines And Procedures

SUPPLIES:
One Binder— This binder should last the whole school year and needs to be sturdy! It should be at least 1.5 inches thick to hold everything that is needed.
Binder Tabs- come in a package of five
Sheet Protectors
Loose Leaf Notebook Paper
Pens (Blue or Black and Red)
Pencils
Pencil Sharpener
Extra Erasers
Markers/Crayons/Colored Pencils
Pencil Pouch
One 3 Hole Punch (skinny one that will fit in a binder)
Highlighter
USB Flash Drive—should have one that can be used for all classes

Please Note—Paper, pens, and pencils are used all year long! Please purchase enough of these to last the whole year. The best sales of the year on these items are at back to school time!

**Students will be issued an agenda book by Shiloh Middle School and do not need to purchase one.

Grades
Mrs. Kirner’s online grade book will be available at the Home Access Center throughout the school year.

Food and/or beverages are not permitted in the classroom.


HOMEWORK:
Homework assignments help you remember, apply, and reinforce what you have learned in class. Always do your best work on your homework. Be neat.


ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE:
Academic Assistance is available during designated times for you to make up missing assignments, to make up quizzes or tests, or to get extra help. Please take advantage of this time. It can really make a difference.

ABSENCES:
Students are responsible for work missed during your absence. Assignments are written on the calendar posted on the bulletin board. Students are responsible for writing down and completing their assignments and tests or quizzes missed. Get notes from a classmate or from me. Students will have as many days as you were absent to make up your assignments and tests or quizzes. Most class assignments and homework assignments are available at www.kirner.org.
